Who Are We?
TMI is a membership organisation and the professional institute for destination management in the UK with over 340 members who are all involved, one way or another, in the tourism industry and visitor economy. Set up in 1997, we are the independent voice for our members. Membership is open to people involved in all aspects of destination management, tourism training, education, tourism development, tourism delivery, and sector support.
Although much of the TMI website is open to all, there are some parts that are only accessible to our members. TMI has various membership categories and full details on these and how to join TMI are available on the ‘Join TMI’ section of this site.
We also operate a regional representative system, whereby you can talk directly with your local regional representative about TMI issues. Please click the link to find your local regional representative.
