Sustainability

Sustainable/regenerative tourism is an increasingly important focus for all TMI’s members.   

Recognising the importance of sustainability to the industry and to increase support to destination managers, TMI therefore appointed a Sustainability Director in 2022 to champion this critical area.

We are looking to educate members and share knowledge and good practice.

A Sustainability Working Group was set up in 2023 with 4 quarterly meetings held in March, June, September and December. The group will review processes at the end of the year and provide guidance towards the organisation's climate action plan.  

A special section dedicated to ‘Sustainability Resources’ has been set up on the TMI website and all TMI members can access this information (click here to enter your login details).
